Advance Monofocal

An advanced monofocal lens offers enhanced image quality and improved vision at a single distance, often incorporating features to reduce glare and halos.

Monofocal Toric

A monofocal toric lens corrects both cataracts and astigmatism, providing clear vision at a single distance while addressing corneal irregularities.

Multifocal Toric

A multifocal toric lens combines the benefits of correcting astigmatism with the ability to focus at multiple distances, enhancing vision for near, intermediate, and far distances.

E.D.O.F.
(Extended Depth of Focus)

An E.D.O.F. lens extends the range of clear vision, allowing for improved focus over a continuous range of distances, from near to intermediate.

Trifocal / Multifocal

A trifocal lens provides clear vision at three distinct distances: near, intermediate, and far, reducing the need for glasses at all ranges.

b.) Toric Lens- This kind of a lens is used for patients suffering from high astigmatism (high cylindrical power)

This type of surgery is most demanded.

Cataract surgery can be divided into 3 methods

    1. Manual small incision cataract surgery: in this method surgery is done by hand. Disadvantage are large incision (5.5 mm -6.5 mm), slow recovery, more discomfort, requirement of injection before surgery. Its advantages is low cost.
    2. Micro-incision cataract surgery (MICS): This is best method, as surgery is done with the help of machine. Cataract is broken into small pieces & removed by Phaco-emulsification method through small incision. Advantage are small incision (2.2 mm), no injection, fast recovery with minimum discomfort.

With Micro-incision cataract surgery (MICS) surgery most People are able to have an improved vision after 1 to 3 days of surgery. But the most accurate clear vision is attained after 3-4 weeks of surgery.

No, cataract surgery is not painful at all. Mild sedative and eye drops are used to calm the nerves and eye respectively.
